SOLING OR RESOLING ELIZABETH RED SHOES
Soling prices
INDOOR OUTDOOR SOLES
- in/out: indoor outdoor soles are for people who want to wear their dance shoes out to dinner without worrying about changing into dance shoes later. These soles are a little bit thicker and more durable to accommodate more wear and tear. These have an extra charge of $30 if you decide to add this feature to your shoes.
TANGO SOLES
- Tango soles are soles specifically for the dance floor or garden parties, where you will be on hardwood or tiled floors most of the time. These soles are not for outdoor use on concrete because concrete acts as sandpaper to the soles, scraping the leather off the shoe like a Dremel to leather. Thus, damaging the soles and making the shoes unwearable and undanceable. These soles have no extra charge
SALSA SOLES
- Salsa soles are suede leather for soles. Suede leather is a great way to make regular shoes more slick for fast turns and sassy movements. Suede soles are not for outdoor use unless your shoes are on their way to the trash already. Elements such as moisture or concrete will damage the suede soles designed solely for a dance floor. Suede soles are never what I personally choose for my social dancing shoes. Suede soles can be excellent for dancers who compete because they allow for flexibility through the metatarsal of the foot allowing you to point your toes which earns extra points in competitions! These soles have no extra charge
UPPER TYPES
Elizabeth Red handpicks all her leather and synthetic materials to create her shoes.
Premium Leathers
- Premium leather for women’s shoes are supple leathers derived from smaller farm animals. These leathers come in various colored suedes, stamped patterns and faux animal prints. Some are glossy, some sparkle, some are demure and some are loud. Make an appointment to see them now before they are gone.
Exotic Leathers:
- Exotic leathers that i work with are, snake, alligator, stingray, bullfrog, crocodile, lizard, to name a few, I do not have all these on hand at this time. Exotic leather can be a beautiful option. Some skins come with an extra charge because they are usually one of a kind, hard to find and take more skill to sew than leather from cows or buffalo.
Synthetic uppers
- Synthetic uppers are materials that are NOT leather such as silks, velvets, canvas or any material that could become a shoe that is not from an animal. Have an old chair your granny embroidered that you want to make into shoes? or have a couch that you believe could make great boots? Lets make it happen!! Pricing may vary depending on the project!
